“Warm welcome – sleeping bags giveaway for homeless people” – the project of Charity Hospital’s director, Sergey Ievkov – won a grant of 100,000 rubles in a competition hosted by Росмолодежь. We will use this money to buy sleeping bags for patients of the Mobile clinic.
As winter kicks in, it becomes harder for the homeless to survive on the streets. Especially if one has to spend nights in self-made tents or huts.
That is why we will give out sleeping bags during our outreach trips to those in need – those who couldn’t find a place in shelters and heating stations, those who have to sleep on the streets. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in such dire circumstances out there, and quite often, they end up as our patients: living on the street can lead to severe frostbite and other health problems.
The coldest part of winter is coming, and we thank Росмолодёжь for their support.
