On October 8th, Charity Hospital and the Crisis center for women INGO hosted an event focused on the problem of violence towards women.
It was quite productive, as our colleagues from the Crisis center shared useful information about violence in relationships, and our volunteers, in turn, spoke about their experience working with homeless women.
Homeless women living on the streets are extremely vulnerable. For some of them, staying with a man is the only to protect themselves against possible dangers. Unfortunately, such relationships are often toxic, and women end up abused and humiliated.
As a reminder, we’ve created pamphlets with addresses of spots where women can get free medical and social help. You can download them here. Please print one of them out and carry it with you, so you can give it to a woman in distress if need be.
We’d like to thank our colleagues from the Crisis center for women INGO for the talk and the lecture, and we thank Comet space for hosting the event.
