Charity Hospital vaccinated homeless people against COVID-19 and seasonal flu

ББ

On October 3rd, Charity Hospital conducted its 12th mobile vaccination event for homeless people. We vaccinated 29 people! 21 of them got two vaccines: against the flu and COVID-19, 6 people wanted to get only the COVID shot, and 2 people wanted to get a vaccine against the flu only.

As usual, everyone who wanted to get a vaccine, regardless if they had an ID, got their shot. For example, we vaccinated a citizen of Kyrgyzstan and a Ukrainian refugee. Since they don’t have a Russian passport and state-issued insurance, they can’t get free shots at state clinics. Many homeless patients find themself in this situation.

Everyone, who visited our Mobile clinic to get vaccinated, also got vaccination certificates and lifepacks with hygiene products, thermomugs, and raincoats, so these rainy days become a bit less hard on them.

And we will continue to vaccinate people on the streets, so they don’t die from illnesses that can be avoided with simple prophylactics.
